Schultz Rose Food Plant Food grows roses, annuals and perennials brighter, fuller, and healthier. It is easy to use and does not require mixing. It contains specific and important micronutrients that help ensure rapid growth, brighter coloring, better formations and overall healthier flowers with strong root systems. It also contains extended feed plant food that delivers slow-release fertilizer and nutrients steadily for up to 3 months.

How to Apply

NEW ROSES: Mix 1 tsp. with backfill soil of individual plants, or work 1 cup per 25 sq. ft. into the soil of landscape beds to a depth of 6 inches.

ESTABLISHED ROSES: Sprinkle the recommended amount around each rose at a distance of 8-10 inches from the base of the plant. Work gently into the top 1/4 inch of soil. (2 ft. x 2 ft.)=1/8 cup, (3 ft. x 3 ft.)=1/3 cup, (4 ft. x 4 ft.)=2/3 cup, (5 ft. x 5 ft.)= 1cup.

BEDDING PLANTS & FLOWERS: Sprinkle 1 cup evenly per 25 sq. ft. of bedding, or 1 tsp. per plant. Work into the top 1-3 inches of soil on new plantings.

TIP: Gloves are recommended when handling this and other gardening products. Brush or wash fertilizer granules off leaves to prevent plant injury & water thoroughly after application.

When to Apply

New Roses: Should be applied during the spring, and feeding should be postponed until the following spring.

Established Roses: Should be applied during the spring after new foliage has appeared. Repeat every 12 weeks during the growing season. Stop feeding 2 months prior to first expected frost.

Bedding Plants & Flowers: Feed at time of planting and repeat every 12 weeks during the growing season.

TIP: When soil temperatures over 70 degrees F persist, feed every 6 weeks.
