Benefits of Trees

Collective Benefits:
We can often become connected or attached to trees. They are often planted in memory of loved ones or to represent the establishment of a structure. Trees are a presence to us as they stand strong and respected. They are around every community, in private lawns, public parks, and provide enhancements to the architecture. When trees are around us they add harmony or peacefulness to our lives. So we are not always attracted to the beauty of the tree, but more the feeling we have when we are in the presence of them.

Environmental:
Trees provide a dramatic change in our environment. This is one of the most beneficiary aspects they provide. The air quality can be greatly improved with trees. The leaves of the trees absorb the carbon dioxide and produce oxygen for us to breathe. In this process they also absorb many other pollutants in the air. The climate can be affected as well. They absorb, deflect, and protect us from wind, rain, and the sun’s natural rays.

Economical Benefits:
Trees provide a wide array of economical benefits. If a home is shaded well this will keep it cooler in the summer months, thus saving from spending on the A/C. The heating bill in the winter could also be reduced if there are trees to provide a wind break. Lastly they provide a nice landscape to a home. A home will be valued higher if it is landscape with healthy trees.
